4 Seasons Project
As a part of our ethos of connecting communities to nature, Wild Earth staff and young volunteers are working in the neighbourhood of Paradise, Coventry to deliver the 4 Seasons Project at Finbarr Close, Cobden Street, Crabmill Lane and Mulliner Street and Stoney Stanton Road.
Children, young people and families of the neighbourhood are involved in nature based projects.
As a part of this project, the families use their local parks and green spaces more effectively.
Acitivities delivered:
- arts and crafts
- bushcraft and survival skills
- nature based games and activities
Web of Life - Cervical Cancer Awareness Raising Project
Wild Earth have delivered workshops on the issue of cervical cancer awareness in Coventry.
As a part of the project, we produced a film to raise the issue of cervical cancer awareness and encouraging women aged 25-64 years, to attend cervical screening appointments.
Early detection can save lives. This is the theme of the film that has been made with members of the community in Coventry.
The project has been delivered in partnership with FWT (a centre for women), who are leading the cervical cancer awareness programme with the BAME commuities in Coventry.
Web of Life has been funded by the Innovation and Development Fund.
Nature Beats / Nature Beats Sonic Signatures
Wild Earth have delivered two youth programmes in Coventry and Warwickshire over:
2015-18 Nature Beats and 2018 - 21 Nature Beats Sonic Signatures
The programmes were funded by Youth Music and focused on working with 16 - 25 year old young people, who are not in full time education, employment or training. The programmes built skills and confidence to increase job readiness through a unique combination of outdoor skills, personal development, confidence building and music technology.

The young people from the project had the opportunity to mentor and three young people have consequently joined the Wild Earth workforce.
Foleshill Cultural Learning Cafe
Foleshill Cultural Learning Café will work in an informal 'meet and greet with a coffee' style Informal leaning café with deprived BAME communities especially the Roma Community living in the Foleshill, with the aim to gain a better understanding of the service provision in the Foleshill in relation to the wider city. The project will achieve the following outcomes by raising awareness and understanding of:
- Agencies and services i.e. registering with a GP, smoking cessation, living with long term health conditions, screening immunisation.
- Planning, budgeting, price comparison website, loan sharks, banking and loans, employability and enterprise skills.
- Rights and duties as residents of Coventry, celebrating the cultural heritage and increasing community cohesion.
- Low cost family provision i.e. local parks and green spaces, libraries.
- Caring for the environment and reducing fly tipping, dog fouling etc.
We are working in partnership with agencies such as NEA, PeoplePoint Ltd, Groundwork West Midlands, Voluntary Action Coventry and FWT.
