Connecting people to nature has ripple effects of establishing a sense of place and connection with your own local community. At Wild Earth, we provide various tools of developing community cohesion through intiatives based on nature based activities, bushcraft, survival and self development courses for local young people, arts and crafts, informal learning and volunteering. We have the expertise in community engagement and capacity building through unique tools that empower people to feel included and their voice heard.

"You can make a lot of speeches, but the real thing is when you dig a hole, plant a tree, give it water, and make it survive. That's what makes the difference."

-Wangari Mathai (First African woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize)

"Today's workshop by Wild Earth made feel extremely peaceful and happy.

We need more days like this in our community!"

Community Events

Community Engagement and Capacity Building

The Wild Earth team has the expertise of community engagement and capacity building of over 12 years.

We work in partnership with the public, private and voluntary sector organisations to ensure that the hardest to reach communities are engaged and involved in community projects. We have had the privelege of working with groups such as the 'Dads and Lads' group at the Moat House Children's Centre in Wood End and Cook and Eat Well initiatives at Tile Hill and Wood End. We are dedicated to supporting young people from our communities to find positive destinations through our projects and we create bespoke programmes to support the community as a whole. See our 'Youth' page for more information on our youth projects.

Community Arts

Wild Earth has an extensive background of providing community arts projects with vulnerable groups such as people with mental health issues, learning disabilities, hard to reach women from BME and new communities, children and young people.

Connect with your Green Spaces

Wild Earth provides nature walks and workshops based on your local greenspace that helps in promoting respect for your local park and helps in community safety initiatives. We involve the local schools, trade groups, parents, voluntary sector organisations and other partners to gain a coordinated effort in the process.
